We moved to Pegasus after a short time at another nursery. My child settled straight away and comes out bouncing every day talking about what she has been doing.

Our son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes whilst in his second year at nursery. His diagnosis came as a huge shock and changed our lives forever. His key worker Kiri was our 'guardian angel'! She took on his care without hesitation and professionally delivered his health care needs. All staff were fully committed to training and supported with every aspect of his care. The centre successfully applied for inclusion funding which allowed extra time for Kiri to work on self esteem , confidence and transition to school. This included extra visits to school which reduced anxiety and worry for us all. We will never forget the support we received in those early days and we know that our son holds a very special place in his heart for Kiri and the team. Thank you Pegasus!

Pegasus bent over backwards for my son during the two years he spent there. Having a child with special needs can mean a lot of paperwork and extra organisation but the staff here made every step as easy as possible and were more than accommodating making my little boy feel totally included in everything they did. He came on leaps and bounds physically, socially, in his speech and language, and in his understanding of the world we live in.   

I could not recommend Pegasus highly enough and there isn't one staff member who I wouldn't put my absolute trust in with my children.

I just wanted to thank each and everyone of you for all the support and care you have given our family during our time with you at Pegasus. Grace has progressed so much under your care. The support you have given during these uncertain times has been amazing. Not only have you been there for Grace but some of you were there to see Lucy through Nursery a few years ago. Paige you have done amazing in your role as Manager you have transformed the place with the support of your staff. Gemma you have been a fantastic key worker for Grace supporting through toilet training, sleep problems and more. Emma you have supported us not only with Grace but Lucy as well when she was at Pegasus. The centre is an amazing place and I wish you all the best for the future. We will keep in touch as you know Pegasus will always have a place in my heart having worked here many years ago. Thank you again.

Would highly recommend this establishment if anyone is thinking of sending their children here! It's safe, clean, well looked after, the children are always so happy and very well taken care of! My son thrived in this nursery, the facilities are great and the staff are very kind and helpful

 My sons Pegasus journey has been wonderful. 

He started at 2 years old, leaving at school age and has grown in confidence and become more independent with the support and encouragement of the Pegasus Team. He’s learnt certain things there which we definitely can’t take credit for at home. As an example, his pen control has come on lots with lovely activities set at the centre and he was much more respondent to potty training being around other children to encourage him and the expertise of the staff. 

The setting gives the children sociability, stimulating activities and the freedom to express their own unique little personality’s (which are celebrated). 

I have always had every confidence he is in good hands each day and the team are always there to help and feedback any areas of concern and or praise. 

I wouldn’t look anywhere else for a Pre- School setting with lovely families and friendly, approachable and efficient staff.

Myself and my husband would like to take the time to say a massive Thankyou for all you have done for our son over the past year and a half. From day one he has felt welcomed at Pegasus and has come home chatting about all he has done during the day. Our boy has shown massive changes to his behaviour over the time he’s attended Pegasus and really struggled when he couldn’t attend during lockdown. He loves all the staff and regularly talks about you all at home. 

Pegasus is a fantastic, country setting that we’d happily recommend to anyone. We are sad that our little girl can’t join you and this decision has only been taken due to location and Pegasus’ hours. 

Thankyou for all your hard work during a very difficult time this year.

 Rowan has absolutely loved every minute of being at Pegasus. He settled in extremely quickly thanks to the friendly and kind nature of all the staff there. He was encouraged to make friends straight away and he managed this almost immediately.  Once he’d made friends he was that excited about having friends that we would hear about every friend and everything that they did together every day. Some of the best friends that he made though were the teaching staff. Rowan would regale us with tales of everything the teaching staff had said and done every day. He always came home with a smile and excited tales of adventures he had been up to every day. He was always excited about going back to nursery and would ask every morning when he woke up whether he was going ‘to nursery today’. The development we saw within Rowan once he started nursery was amazing. His speech came on leaps and bounds and his counting and alphabet too. He would always come home with amazing paintings, drawings and things that he had made. The Christmas plays were a big highlight. We just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Pegasus for helping Rowan settle into nursery life so quickly and for making it the magical experience that it was. He will be sad to be leaving but he is already excited to be starting school and that can only be down to the preparation invested in him from Pegasus Nursery.

You have all been wonderful and the exemplary care, love and kindness you have shown has allowed me to conitine to work with the knowledge my babies are safe and happy in your care.  We cannot thank Paige and all the staff at Pegasus for the outstanding care they have offered our children over the past few years.

One has already moved onto school but the staff always say hello and have a chat with him whenever they see him.

Our other child who is due to have his last day on Wednesday has absolutely loved going to nursery every single day and always talks about the staff at home and what he has done that day with such excitement.

You have all shown incredible resilience and determination to continue to offer the best care.

Introducing and operating such intricate attention to detail to ensure the children are safe and could continue to access their nursery education over this past year.

 My son joined Pegasus September 2020, the decision to send him to any setting wasn't easy- we hadn't been in the area long so didn't know much about local nurseries, we knew he had pretty bad development delay and thanks to Covid the group we were due to attend to prepare him were cancelled. We had to just take the leap. When he started with them he was non-verbal and struggled to communicate his needs, I worried he wouldn't make friends, wouldn't cope with the environment. I was worried as we didn't have any outside agencies involved (again thanks to covid) they would just think I was an over protective Mum. 

From the very first meeting with Emma and Paige, I felt I could be completely honest with them about my concerns. They were nothing but understanding and reassured me that they would look after him and that they did. They have worked so hard too not only get him the support he needs in the setting but also the support he needs away from the setting. 

The difference in the boy who didn't try to speak/communicate and hated people/children, now absolutely loves going to nursery, tries to copy words, has his own way to communicate and has built some fantastic relationships not only with the staff but also the children too! 

After seeing how amazing the setting had been with him and the progress he was making, we made the decision to start our daughter at the setting in January 2021. It  became apparent to her keyworker that she had some delays and would benefit from extra support. Like with our son they have been amazing, worked so hard to get her support both in and out of the setting. 

The children that started the setting are different children to the ones there now. They have both come so far thanks to the hard work of the staff members. They are both so much more confident and smashing their individual targets- which are realistically set on their own development needs, not development based on age. 

Not only have the staff members been absolutely amazing with our children but they have also become a huge support network to myself and my husband. Being parents to children with additional needs is extremely over whelming, they have been have been by our sides every step of the way since they joined the setting. Even if I just needed to rant down the phone, they have listened. When I have had concerns, they have reassured me. When I've had questions they have have answered or if they didn't have the answer helped me to find it. We really don't know what we would of done without them this year. 

There is one downside to finding such a special setting, when it comes to your children leaving for their next journey at school, it is heart breaking. When the time does come for them to leave for school, Pegasus Childcare Centre will forever hold a special place in our hearts. They have changed the paths of our children's lives giving them the best possible start to education.

 I can honestly not recommend Pegasus enough! Before Pegasus one of my sons was so shy of other children and this greatly effected his confidence and speech. Pegasus has allowed my sons to bloom with confidence and now I can’t get a word in edge ways!! They LOVE Pegasus and the staff are so passionate and caring with everything they do.
It has been a fantastic 2 years with and I am sad that it’s time for my boys to move on from nursery to school.
If you are considering taking your children to Pegasus go for it! You will not regret it! Thank you so much to all the staff for all your hard work! We will miss you so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
